BECKMAN COULTER EXECUTIVE TEAM TO VISIT MERVUE PLANT

Senior members of the Beckman Coulter Executive team are to visit the Galway plant in the coming days as a restructuring of its Irish operations continues.The medical firm based in Mervue Business Park is seeking up to 20 voluntary redundancies between its Galway and Clare plants.A review is also ongoing to examine whether to continue with both Irish plants, select one operation or merge both to a new greenfield site.Vice Presidents Pamela Miller and Charles Pittman will meet with management at the diagnostic kit manufacturing plants in Galway and Clare today and tomorrow.
