Date Published: 09-Feb-2011

Up to 100 people marched through the streets of Ballinasloe last night [8/2] to the offices of the Town Council, where the monthly meeting was being held.

Workers from the Premier Proteins Plant at Poolboy vented their anger over a decision by the Environmental Protection Agency to revoke an existing licence held by the company.

They fear for the future of jobs at the plant.
