BALLINASLOE NURSING UNIT TO BUILD FAMINE MEMORIAL

A community nursing unit in Ballinasloe has received almost 5 thousand euro in funding to build a memorial garden for famine victims.St. Brendans is among 14 organisations across the county to benefit from grant aid under the environmental partnership fund.
A total of 27 thousand euro is to be made available to Galway organisations under the scheme.
Half of this will come from Government funding, and the other half will be matched by Galway county council.
