BAIL REMAND FOR MAN ACCUSED OF CITY SEXUAL ASSAULT

A 20 year old man, charged with the sexual assault of a woman in the city on St. Stephen’s Day, has been remanded on continuing bail.The accused, who may not be named for legal reasons, appeared before Galway District Court this week.He's further charged with breaching the peace by engaging in threatening, abusive and insulting words or behaviour at Shop Street, Galway, on November 20 last.Judge Mary Fahy remanded the accused on continuing bail to appear before the court again on February 27th for the DPP’s directions.
