Residents in Athenry are beginning to gather at Ennis Bridge to block the public road in protest at the worsening condition of local roads. The protest will block the road from trucks and all motorists for the next hour. Residents say the local roads in Athenry are being destroyed by heavy trucks working on the new N6 Galway to Dublin road.
