A development in Athenry is included in the latest round of NAMA's Deferred Payment initiative.

Pairc Na Ri in Athenry is on the extended list of 180 developments which spans over 12 counties.

The 80:20 scheme seeks to allay the fears of the first time buyer by insuring them against the loss of 20 per cent of the home's value for five years.

The houses are not NAMA-owned and range in size from two to five-bedroom with prices starting from 100-thousand euro in counties including Carlow, Clare, Cork, Dublin, Galway, Kerry, Kildare, Kilkenny, Limerick, Meath, Sligo and Wexford.

Bank of Ireland, AIB through its subsidiary EBS and Permanent TSB are participating in the initiative.

When the scheme was initially launched in May, it included 115 houses in three counties.
