The Ennis railway bridge in Athenry is to get a facelift. Iarnród Eireann has confirmed it's planning to completely refurbish the bridge as part of the Western Rail Corridor works. The hump-back bridge has a sharp bend and is a traffic bottleneck. It was also the scene of protests last week by residents over the poor condition of the roads in Athenry. Mayor of County Galway Peter Feeney says it will be a huge improvement to the town before summer
