Ashford Castle Hotel is expected to continue trading as normal, despite going into receivership.
Galway company Edward Holdings, of which Gerry Barrett is a director, handed over control of the major asset today
The five star hotel in Cong is now the hands of joint receivers from Ernst and Young.
They've commited to the scheduled Christmas programme at the hotel, and say employment and suppliers will be retained, while bookings and deposits will be honoured.
