Farmers in Ardrahan are desperately trying to save livestock and livelihoods as water levels continue to rise in south Galway.

Around 200 homes in Ardrahan are marooned by the floods and neighbours have been ferrying people around in tractors.

Farmers are losing cattle feed to the floods and distressed herds are being marched to safety on higher ground.

Local farmer Paraic Collins is appealing for cattle fodder to be airlifted onto farms.
