ARAN LIFEBOAT RESUMES SEARCH FOR MISSING CLARE MEN
Date Published: 14-Aug-2012
The Aran Islands lifeboat has rejoined the search for two missing fishermen who failed to return home from the Clare coast last evening.
The unit was tasked at around 9 last night [Aug 13].
Some debris was found off Spanish Point in the course of last night's operation, but it's not yet known if it belonged to the missing 28 foot vessel.
The Aran Unit is now joined by Waterford Coastguard Helicopter "Rescue 117" after the Shannon based unit was involved in another call-out.
They are also assisted by coastguard units from Kilkee and Doolin.
