Anger over Lynch's Castle cover-up
AIB has bowed to widespread disgruntlement over the state of Lynch’s Castle during its overhaul and erected drawings and old photographs to indicate what lies behind the giant white covering.
However, the boards have continued to attract criticism as they are not reminiscent of what developers do across Europe when it comes to work on historic buildings.
Councillor Niall McNeilis questioned why the bank failed to commission a life-size drawing of the 15th century building which could have been draped over the scaffolding during the works.
The historical building will be under cover of sheeting until August 12 at least.
