Residents of the greater Gort area are being urged to alert Gardai if they have been offered cheap alcohol or cigarettes for sale in recent days.
If follows a burglary in the town's Supervalu Store earlier this week where goods valued at 22 thousand euro were taken.
The burglary at Minihane's Supervalu on Church Street took place between midnight on Monday and 6 on Tuesday morning.
It's understood raiders gained access to the store by breaking security bars and removing a window.
They then stole 14 thousand euro worth of liquor and alcohol, and 8 thousand euro worth of cigarettes.
Gardai are urging members of the public in the area who may have been offered such products for sale at reduced rates to contact Gort Garda Station on 091 636 400.
