A THOUSAND POSTCARDS HANDED INTO GALWAY TD's OFFICE

Around a thousand postcards from householders across the city have been handed into Labour T.D, Derek Nolan's office at the Docks.
A delegation from the 'Campaign against Home and Water Taxes' handed over the postcards in the past hour. (10.30am)
The signed postcards outline people's opposition to the property tax and the current austerity measures imposed by the Government.
The move comes as the Revenue plan to send out nearly 2 million letters over the coming weeks to householders requesting information on homes.
Speaking to Galway Bay Fm News, Conor Burke from the anti-austerity campaign group says they want Galway Labour TDs to feel the pressure
