3 MILLION EURO FOR GALWAY UNDER GOVERNMENT JOBS INITIATIVE

Galway is to benefit from 3 million euro in funding under the Government's new jobs initative scheme, which will be announced later.

The funds will go towards the upgrade and improvement of secondary roads in the city and county.

It's understood our private pension funds will be levied to pay for the plan, which is set to include new training schemes and a possible cut in the lower rate of VAT.
