250 NURSES STAGE PROTEST AT PORTIUNCULA HOSPITAL

250 nurses from across the west staged a protest outside Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe today. It's part of official industrial action at the hospital over what the Irish Nurses Organisation claims was the wrongful suspension of two nurse managers.The HSE has formally invited the INO to a meeting to discuss the dispute there and says the industrial action underway should be deferred to allow talks take place.
