140 jobs at Oranmore company more secure after High Court case settled
Galway Bay fm newsroom - The future of 140 jobs at an Oranmore-based security company is safe for now.
Delta Security Group, based at Oranmore Business Park, had its licence revoked by the Private Security Authority earlier this month.
The PSA had concerns relating to references for two staff at Delta Security Group after its inspectors carried out an audit.
Delta Security took a High Court action over the decision, claiming it would have to lay off 140 staff if the decision to revoke the licence was not reversed.
The matter came before Justice Michael Peart in the High Court yesterday, where he was informed it was settled.
According to today's Irish Times, the matter will now be remitted to the authority for further consideration.
