1 MILLION FOR DISABILITY EMPLOYMENT PROJECTS IN GALWAY

Over 1 million euro has been allocated to disability employment projects in Galway.

620 thousand will be provided to the Brothers of Charity while a further 463 thousand euro will be given to the National learning project which is based in Galway, Mayo and Roscommon.

The funding was announced by Minister Joan Burton who is hosting an employer briefing in the city this morning.

Almost 100 employers have registered for the event so far which is taking place in the Meyrick Hotel.

Information on schemes such as the employer PRSI incentive scheme and Jobbridge is on offer via host organisation and intern speakers.
