'Please stop' - Eve Hewson calls out father Bono for embarrassing behaviour
The actress was plugging new movie Disclosure Day
Eve Hewson has called her father Bono out for being “so cringe”.
The Behind Her Eyes actress was on the Today Show in the US plugging new movie Disclosure Day from Steven Spielberg.
Chatting with host Savannah Guthrie, Hewson admitted to being embarrassed by the U2 frontman’s actions in front of British actress and co star Emily Blunt.

“Your father is Bono and I hear that he was trying to chat alien language with Emily Blunt?” said Guthrie.
“Ugh, he is such an embarrassing dad,” Eve replied.
“Last time you were here you called him the Kris Jenner of dads,” said Guthrie.
“He is” Eve laughs, “He texts me like, reviews on things, and all that, he’s very involved.
“Yea we had Emily over for dinner, and the minute she walked in he started doing the alien voice that she does in the trailer, and I was like please stop, please please. So cringe.”
People in the comments were quick to say that they had never knew the actress was the U2 frontman’s daughter with many commending her for her roles in Bad Sisters and The Knick, with one person saying,
“I am gagged! I had no idea”, while another said, “If I was invited to their house to have dinner with Bono, he could have squawked like a chicken all night.”
