MULTI MILLION EURO SETTLEMENT FOR NUIG STUDENT

A college student who suffered serious injuries after she was hit by a car in Galway city has settled her high court action.

Louise O' Connor from Meelick, Co.Limerick was a final year Law student at NUIG when she was hit by a car crossing the river Corrib on March 23rd 2005.

The 26 year old sued the driver and owner of the car as well as NUIG and Galway City Council.

According to the Irish Times, Louise O' Connor will get three million euro under a settlement of the case.
