MOTHER AND CHILD RESCUED FROM THE WATERS OFF KINVARA

A mother and her child have been rescued from the waters off Kinvara.
It's after the dingy they were boating in, drifted up onto Mulrooney island, in strong winds.
A canoeist, who spotted them, notified the Coast Guard just before lunch.
The pair, who are on holidays from Dublin, were unhurt and were brought back to shore by the Galway RNLI lifeboat.
The Coast Guard says they were never at any serious risk.
