Increase in Galway car sales

Galway Bay fm newsroom – New car sales in Galway have risen by 22% this year. That's according to figures compiled by the Society of the Irish Motor Industry. The SIMI data shows that 2,586 new cars have been sold in Galway in the first five months of this year. This compares to 2,121 cars sold during the same period last year, an increase of 22%. Nationally, car sales have seen an increase of 24%, with Galway accounting for just over 4% of new cars sold in Ireland so far this year. The three top selling brands are Volkswagen, Toyota and Ford.
