Government defeats motion calling for stay on St Brigids Ballinasloe decision

Galway Bay fm newsroom - The motion calling for a halt to the closure of acute psychiatric beds at St. Brigid's Hospital in Ballinasloe was voted down in the Seanad yesterday.

A lengthy and sometimes heated debate took place after Fianna Fáil placed the motion before the Seanad, calling for a stay on the closure and asking for an independent review.
