GO AHEAD FOR NEW JOYCES DEVELOPMENT IN HEADFORD

The owners of Joyces Supermarket in Headford have been given the go-ahead for new supermarket plans despite local opposition.

Pat and Breda Joyce were originally granted planning permission for the development but locals appealed the decision to An Bord Pleanála.

Local residents objected to the development claiming it would be too big for the area and were concerned about traffic safety.

However, An Bord Pleanála, has given the go-ahead for the supermarket development with conditions attached.
