GALWAY TD CLAIMS RAINWATER HARVESTING HAS JOBS POTENTIAL

It's claimed that a number of jobs could be created across the county if the government introduces grants for the harvesting of rainwater.

Galway West TD Eamon O'Cuiv says homeowners should be rewarded for collecting rainwater in advance of the introduction of water charges.

The Fianna Fail deputy claims that grant aids for water conservation would boost the economy with the fitting of systems.

Deputy O'Cuiv says he's asked the Environment Minister to prioritise supports for rainwater harvesting and conservation, before water charges are introduced.
