Hard Working Class Heroes returns to the streets of Dublin from Thursday, October 6 to October 8 for its ninth consecutive year. The weekend is a showcase of up-and-coming bands on the Irish music scene, and is of particular interest to music fans in Galway this year because of the amount of local bands on the bill.

The Deprivations, The Followers of Otis, Go Panda Go, Elaine Mai and The Kanyu Tree will all be at the event, which is unique in the Irish music business. It offers bands a chance to make direct contact with managers, labels and the press. A look through the line-up brings up names that you will be hearing more from in the next year

Hard Working Class Heroes also runs an exhibition of Ireland’s finest music related shots, accepting submissions from snappers all over the country in a further effort to capture bands on their way up.

This year’s Hardworking Class features over 100 bands who will play in six venues across Dublin over the weekend.

Many of the bands you see at HWCH will be on the bill at the major festivals in 2012. But at HWCH you’ll be indoors, your drink will be in a glass and you won’t need your wellies – unless they really compliment your outfit, of course!

Weekend tickets cost €45 plus fees, nightly tickets are €20 plus fees.
