FEARS MANUELA FUNDING ROW WILL DAMAGE GALWAY FUNDRAISERS

There are fears a funding row over the Manuela Riedo Foundation will affect future fund-raising efforts in Galway.

Founding member, 53 year old publican Brendan McGuinness, is reported to be on the verge of quitting the Foundation in Switzerland after falling out with Manuela's parents Hans and Arlette Riedo.

Local organiser Shane Lennon raised over €50,000 in Galway which he says won't be handed over to the Foundation in Switzerland at the request of the Swiss couple.
