Ballinasloe public meeting tonight to discuss beef crisis
Galway Bay fm newsroom – A public meeting will be held in Ballinasloe tonight (Fri) to discuss possible solutions to the beef crisis. Sinn Féin is hosting the public event, which will involve farmers and dealers in the beef industry. The party says the EU needs to relax its beef labelling rules and open the way to free trade across the island. The public meeting will take place in Gullane's Hotel in Ballinasloe tonight at 8.30. Sinn Féin councillor for the Ballinasloe area, Dermot Connolly, says the Minister for Agriculture needs to engage on the issue.
